L-DIH expands digitalisation support to more SME sectors

The Luxembourg Digital Innovation Hub (L-DIH) is expanding its support beyond manufacturing. SMEs operating in six other areas can now benefit from its services, alongside manufacturing companies. 

Formed of four national partners — Luxinnovation, the Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology and the University of Luxembourg — the L-DIH supports Luxembourg’s SMEs to strengthen their digital foundations, make informed use of data and build the cyber resilience they need to operate with confidence in an increasingly digital environment 

The L-DIH offers 100% funded support to eligible companies in: 

• Manufacturing
• Construction
• Transport andlogistics
• Crafts
• Retail and commerce
• Hospitality and restaurants (HORESCA)

The expansion follows the renewal of the L-DIH agreement for the 2026–2029 period. It gives more SMEs access to structured support, whether they are taking their first steps towards digitalisation or preparing to adopt more advanced technologies. 

A service offer built around SMEs' practical needs

Digitalisation is not a single project. It is a journey. Each company starts from a different position and has its own priorities. Some businesses need to understand their digital maturity before investing. Others may want to test new solutions before investing, improve their data management, strengthen cybersecurity or prepare for artificial intelligence (AI). 

The L-DIH has organised its offer around four areas. 

Assess

Assessment services help companies understand their current capabilities, identify priorities and plan next steps. Available assessments revolve around two main areas:  

• to embark on a data-driven digital transformation
• to build your organisational cyber resilience

Test before invest

These services help companies explore digital technologies and clarify their requirements before committing to an investment. 

• Technology testing workshops
• Exploratory data analytics scoping
• System requirements decision support

Testing workshops can cover technologies such as the Internet of Things, extended reality, digital twins and blockchain. 

Upskill and train

Digitalisation depends on people having the right skills to use new tools effectively. 

In partnership with the University of Luxembourg, the Chambre des Métiers and the Digital Learning Hub, the L-DIH helps companies assess their digital awareness and training policies. It then helps them identify relevant training programmes and courses that match their teams’ needs and company objectives. 

Inspire and connect

The L-DIH shares resources and organises events to help companies stay informed and take their first steps towards digitalisation. 

Its activities include webinars, workshops, matchmaking sessions, networking events and presentations on digital tools and technologies. The L-DIH Talks series provides expert advice, practical insights and contacts from the digitalisation ecosystem in Luxembourg and the Greater Region. Replays are also available. 

New marketplace: connect with 150+ digital solution providers

The new L-DIH Marketplace gives SMEs access to more than 150 digital solution providers and research organisations. It helps companies identify potential partners for their digital projects through a single platform. 

The listed providers cover areas such as software development, data analysis, artificial intelligence, enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), augmented virtual reality, etc. 

The Marketplace helps SMEs explore relevant expertise, reduce search time and identify potential support for implementation or training.

The next L-DIH Talks webinar, "L-DIH relaunched: new services and Marketplace introduction", will take place on 18 September 2026 from 11:00 to 12:00. 

The session will introduce the renewed L-DIH offer, its redesigned service catalogue and the new Marketplace. It will also explain how the hub can support SMEs with digitalisation and AI readiness. 

The free webinar is aimed at business leaders, IT managers, innovation officers and SMEs exploring digitalisation. Solution providers interested in connecting with potential clients are also welcome.
