L-DIH at Nexus 2026: Connect, collaborate, innovate

The Luxembourg Digital Innovation Hub (L-DIH) will be participating in Nexus 2026 on 10 and 11 June. Discover its services, co-financed by the EU and Luxembourg, designed to support industry.

The digital transformation of businesses requires structured and comprehensive support. This has been the mission of the Luxembourg Digital Innovation Hub (L-DIH) since its establishment: connecting Luxembourg’s manufacturing companies with the right partners, tools and financing to facilitate their digital transition.

L-DIH is a consortium of five key players in Luxembourg – Luxinnovation, the Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity (LHC), the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), the University of Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Competence Centre. Together, these partners bring their collective expertise to help manufacturing companies navigate their digital transformation journey.

This collaboration covers a unique range of services, from assessing digital maturity to cybersecurity, developing digital skills, testing technologies, and guiding companies towards national and European funding opportunities. All services for Luxembourg businesses are co-financed by the EU and Luxembourg, with no direct costs or administrative complexities for the companies involved.

L-DIH: connecting Luxembourg businesses

While L-DIH plays a pivotal role in supporting digital transformation, its strength also lies in fostering connections. The hub enables companies to:

  • Identify technological partners, service providers, and research organisations tailored to their needs, whether locally in Luxembourg, across the Greater Region, or on a European scale.
  • Access the Digital Innovation Hub Marketplace, a centralised platform showcasing companies and research organisations offering digital technologies, skills, and services. This summer, the platform will be updated with new features, including an enhanced search tool, networking space, and chat functionality.
  • Participate in matchmaking sessions to facilitate targeted meetings with potential partners.
  • Tap into an ecosystem comprising 321 manufacturing companies and 298 digital solution providers across 15 industrial sectors in Luxembourg.

This relational approach, both human and structural, positions L-DIH as a unique and essential player in Luxembourg’s industrial innovation landscape.

The L-DIH Crossborder Tour: immersing in European innovation

One of the standout initiatives illustrating L-DIH’s commitment to fostering connections is the L-DIH Crossborder Tour. Earlier this spring, a delegation of around 15 Luxembourg industrialists participated in the 2026 edition, which offered exclusive and structured immersion into European innovation at the Nano-Innov campus in Saclay and the Global Industrie exhibition in Paris-Villepinte.

Over two days, participants gained insights into European best practices, refined their digital strategies, and learned about European innovation support schemes. They explored ways to test, evaluate, and integrate technological solutions tailored to their needs.

"Aware that SMEs are often pressed for time, L-DIH leverages initiatives like these to highlight innovations relevant to them," explains Mickael Desloges, Senior Advisor – Assessments & Roadmaps at Luxinnovation. "Following this, we ensure these innovations are made accessible by guiding companies towards national and European aid mechanisms, transforming awareness into actionable know-how applicable to their industries."

The cross-border visits immerse Luxembourg manufacturing companies in neighbouring innovation ecosystems – technology centres, partner hubs, and advanced production sites – while promoting direct peer-to-peer exchanges.

This hands-on approach, combined with insights from neighbouring countries, makes the L-DIH Crossborder Tour invaluable to participating companies. It’s more than just a visit; it’s a chance to forge lasting partnerships and unlock new opportunities for international growth.

L-DIH: part of the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) network

L-DIH’s reach extends beyond Luxembourg. As a member of the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) network, it provides access to a continental network of expertise, testing facilities, and cross-border partnerships.

This European dimension is crucial, enabling Luxembourg companies to access resources, infrastructure, and expertise not available locally while offering European partners a gateway to Luxembourg’s industrial and digital ecosystem.

Nexus 2026: meet L-DIH and its partners

In the spirit of connection and collaboration, L-DIH will be present at Nexus 2026 on 10 and 11 June, alongside its partners from the European consortium EDIH and the European Enterprise Network (EEN).

This international exhibition, showcasing technological innovation in Luxembourg, is the perfect opportunity to meet the hub’s team, explore its services, and discover opportunities for European-scale collaboration.

At the L-DIH/EDIH stand, the experience promises to be interactive and engaging:

  • Meet representatives from EDIH/EEN in Luxembourg, Saarland, Grand Est, and the Netherlands to discuss digitalisation projects.
  • Explore support and services available in various countries, including funding solutions.
  • Learn about existing solutions in the Greater Region and schedule appointments with service providers.
  • Conduct a light digital or cyber maturity assessment directly at the stand.
  • Test your digital knowledge with a quiz.
  • Take on the golf challenge for a chance to win a 3D printer.

This dynamic approach reflects L-DIH’s philosophy: learning by doing, testing before investing, and leaving with fresh perspectives – and perhaps even a pleasant surprise.

Expanding support for digital transformation

Luxembourg’s manufacturing sector is more than just a historical cornerstone. With 1 in 10 employees working in this ecosystem, spanning industries like chemicals, agri-food, composites, and mobility, it offers fertile ground for digital transformation.

L-DIH acts as a catalyst for this change, connecting companies with the right resources, partners, and funding to accelerate their transition to Industry 4.0, benefiting the broader Luxembourg economy.

From September, L-DIH’s services will expand beyond manufacturing to include sectors such as construction, transport, logistics, crafts, and catering.
